Darkness temporary overwhelms light but it never overcomes it forever it has to vanish one day because the light can not be stopped and darkness does not exist it is only the absence of light which is known as darkness. We just have to shine the light in one corner and it reaches all the corners on its own so to defeat darkness in his heart he has to shine the light of truth in his heart thats the only way he can get eternal satisfaction.
light of truth is always with every person and also is the darkness of sins but he has to choose one and has to let one of them overwhelm him. He always wanders the different paths of life to discover the eternal reality but sometimes he falls prey to darkness and sometimes light rescues him. So, he has to take the opportunity and go for the light otherwise darkness will overwhelm him and he will be vanquished in the realm of dark, he has to walk-tall and defeat the darkness within him to savour the taste of light.
